Discovering Obervinschgau (Upper Venosta Valley) on two wheels

Set off

Get out on your bike and have fun: The holiday region Reschen Pass is a paradise for cyclists, mountain bikers and road bike racers alike. Thanks to the varied difficulty levels, there’s something for everyone here.

Numerous bike tours start near the Hotel Zum Mohren at the Reschen Pass. A free of charge bike shuttle will bring you to the ones that are located further away. If you do not own a bike yourself, but would like to use one during your holiday, you can easily hire one in the Sport Folie shop.

When all the preparations have been made, it’s time to set off. Leisure cyclists will particularly enjoy cycling around Lake Reschen or along the historic road Via Claudia Augusta through Vinschgau to Merano. With the Bike Card you can return in comfort on the Vinschger Bahn railway.

The surrounding pass and panorama roads are perfect for road racers. As well as the roads in the valley, there are also some challenging tours such as the mountain cycle path into the Martell Valley or the most popular challenge: A journey up the Stilfserjoch at an altitude of 2,757 metres.

You will find mountain bike tours at all difficulty levels directly here at the border triangle. Beginners are best advised to cycle the trails in the Talsohle whereas advanced cyclists can look forward to challenging single trails at the Alpenhauptkamm and in the Ortler region. Cycle along forest paths towards the alms, carry the bike over rocky terrain up to the mountain peak and then enjoy the descent down towards the valley.
